In 1927, the company started serial production of tractors with a Diesel engine. The first tractor with an air-cooled DEUTZ diesel engine rolled off the production line in 1948. The success of these tractor is reflected in the record numbers: in 1992, the company produced its 1,000,000th tractor. Currently, there is more than half a million tractors in operation around the world.
